Product Description
Disc Stoppers are a fast, easy and economical method to stop the flow of gas when repairing service lines up to 4" in diameter. They can also be used to plug the ends of abandoned lines. Constructed of a steel shaft with reverse male threads on the stem end to attach a special T-Handle wrench to place the stopper at the desired location within the pipe. Four heavy rubber washers backed by steel plates, separated by spacing tubes provide the seal.
The Disc Stoppers are pushed into the pipe with a T-Handle wrench. Internal cleaning or deburring is not necessary. The Disc Stopper washers are designed to create a flexible sealing wedge inside the pipe. After pushing the Disc Stopper into place, the Stopper is detached by unscrewing it from the wrench. Allowing the end of the pipe to be repaired. Once work is complete the Disc Stopper can be retrieved using the wrench.
